Kylee Hernandez is the Development Manager of Watts of Love, a global non-profit bringing people the power to lift themselves out of the darkness of poverty through solar lighting and financial literacy training. Kylee gathered a global perspective through travel and spent time teaching English in Asia. She graduated from Wheaton College, in Wheaton, IL, with a degree in International Relations. During her time in college, her research focus was human trafficking and the impacts that poverty had globally on trafficking rates. Kylee’s work has received much interest and she was featured as a presenter at the Midwest Political Science Association. She has been contributing to Watt’s growth and success as a part of the Development team, inviting people to understand how a surprising and simple tool and training model can have a big impact.
In the ten years since its origin, Watts of Love has distributed 91,369 lights in 53 countries globally, impacting the lives of 639,583 and empowering families to take control of their financial futures.
