The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the Church’s sacraments of healing where Jesus Himself gives us total absolution of our sins. Children entering second grade and above can prepare for this Sacrament. Our classes begin in August and First Reconciliation takes place in November each year. First Reconciliation must be received prior to First Holy Communion.
The Sacrament of the Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith where we receive Jesus Christ – Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. After First Reconciliation classes in the Fall, the same students will then participate in First Communion classes. These classes take place starting in January and conclude with First Communion in early May.
The schedule for 22-23 school year is below
Retreat Nov. 12 9 -10:30am
First Reconciliation Nov. 16 5-6pm
Retreat May 6 1-4pm
First Communion May 7 12:30pm
All Sunday classes are from 9:15-10am. A parent is required to attend with their child as they will have their own instruction during class time. One parent will need to attend each retreat with their child to participate with him or her. Classes will be held in Our Lady of Grace Center in the St. Maria Goretti room.
