Fr. Philip Cook, OSA Speaks on Pope Leo XIV and Augustinian Spirituality

The Church of Saint Mary welcomed people from around the Diocese of Tulsa to listen to Fr. Philip Cook, Augustinian Friar and Headmaster of Cascia Hall. More than 160 people attended from across the diocese for this event. He spoke about Pope Leo XIV and Augustinian Spirituality. It was an evening of laughter, learning, and fellowship. He told stories of his relationship with his former superior Fr. Robert Prevost, now Pope Leo XIV, and he talked about what an Augustinian is, what work they do, and how they live. Since Pope Leo XIV is an Augustinian, his Augustinian  spirituality is a part of who he is and Fr. Philip explains the influence of Augustinian spirituality on Pope Leo XIV. Fr. Philip discusses the wisdom, passion and love that St. Augustine has for Jesus Christ that is shown in his writings that have inspired Christians for many years.
