Sips & Stories – Steven Plaisance

All parishioners 21+ are invited to connect with and be inspired by a parishioner sharing his or her story of faith. Our September speaker is Steven Plaisance.

Steven Plaisance, his wife, Katy, and their family joined the Church of Saint Mary back in 2006 when their eldest son started first grade at the School of Saint Mary. As a south Tulsa and former St. Bernard’s family, they made the trek to midtown for years as their 3 sons would all go through the School of Saint Mary, and subsequently, Bishop Kelley.

Steven was born in South Korea and spent his first 27 months in a Catholic orphanage in Busan before being adopted by a Minnesota family. The family made their way to Rogers, Arkansas when Steven was in 1 st grade. He graduated from the University of Arkansas and has had a 37 year career in banking and mortgage, with the first 32 years at Arvest Bank.

He met Katy when they both worked at Arvest, and he was able to relocate his job to Tulsa when they were married at Christ the King in 1998.
His hobbies and interests are family, travel, food, dogs, OU and Arkansas sports, all other sports, and his active participation in his faith journey at the Church of Saint Mary and St. John’s chapel.

The evening will include a special drink to sip, other refreshments, and time to social.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments.
