Update [Sunday, December 5, 10:44 a.m.]: Father Vince celebrated his first Sunday Mass since he went to the hospital. He preached about his experience:
Update [Thursday, December 2, 4:41 p.m.]: Father Vince is working a few hours per day. He is feeling better, but is not back to normal. He is waiting for an appointment to be booked at the Mayo Clinic to determine the root cause of his arterial rupture.

Update [Friday, November 19, 2:48 p.m.]: Father Vince is going home! He will rest at his parents’ house.
Let’s celebrate a little bit, and promise Father Vince that we’ll continue to pray for him.
Update [Thursday, November 18, 8:14 a.m.]: Good news! Father Vince is progressing in his recovery. Doctors are removing his IV and moving him out of the ICU and into a normal room.
Father Jack brought all of the cards parishioners have sent to the parish office. Father Vince is grateful.

Update [Tuesday, November 16: 8:55 a.m.]: Father Vince thanks everyone for their prayers.
Father Vince continues to rest as his medical team watches him carefully. He is still in the ICU because of his IV. The Fernandez family is requesting no visitors until he gets out of the ICU.
Update [Sunday, November 14, 9:45 a.m.]: Medical staff continues to monitor Father Vince. He is comfortable. He sitting up in a recliner and is eating a regular diet. Father Vince remains in the ICU because he has an IV.
No Update [Friday, November 11, 11:15 a.m.]: No news.
Update [Thursday, November 11, 3:35 p.m.]: Doctors say that the rupture in Father Vince’s artery is “not horrible.” They are waiting a couple of days to see if it will heal on its own.
Father Jack visited him this afternoon and says that he looks “so much better.”
Update [Thursday, November 11, 3:05 p.m.]: The medical team has determined that Father Vince has an artery leading to his stomach that needs to be repaired. They will give his artery at least a couple of days to rest before they begin the surgery.
It is anticipated that Father Vince will be in the hospital for the next week.
Original post [Thursday, November 11, 12:30 p.m.]: Father Vince has been feeling abdominal pain for the past two or three days. Late this morning, he was admitted to the ICU. He is suffering from internal bleeding. The ICU is working now to determine the source of the bleeding.
