Pacem is the Latin word for peace.
Pacem, pronounced pah-chem, is a one minute prayer delivered daily to your email inbox.
The prayer contains the Entrance Antiphon and the Communion Antiphon prayed by the priests at Mass. These one-sentence antiphons change every day growing in anticipation of Christ’s birth as journey through Advent towards Christmas.
Voiced by parishioners Carolyn Nestle and Dr. Kevin Donovan and accompanied with an original composition by Lyndon Meyer, Pacem is a prayerful way to engage in this year’s Advent.

Welcome to PACEM, our Advent Prayer. Let us pause to take a deep breath before we pray today’s antiphons.
To you, I lift up my soul, O my God. In you, I have trusted; let me not be put to shame. Nor let my enemies exult over me; and let none who hope in you be put to shame.
The Lord will bestow his bounty, and our earth shall yield its increase.
May God give us peace. Dona nobis pacem.
