December 8 is a particularly important day for parishioners of the Church of Saint Mary. Not only is it a holy day of obligation, the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception can be considered a patronal feast for us.
Masses on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Mary are at
9:00 a.m., and
The Immaculate Conception was the moment God created Mary’s soul. From the first moment in her mother’s womb, Saint Mary was preserved from the stain of original sin. The rest of us inherited original sin and need God’s grace to free us from it (when we were baptized).
