If Palms are available can we have a drive thru to pick up new ones and drop off old ones?
Update: Bishop Konderla issued a directive forbidding the distribution of palms until after the quarantine ends.
————————-
Yes, the palms blessed on Palm Sunday will be placed outside the church after the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Anyone can come take them. At this point in the health crisis, we are not going to be taking old palms. Please save them for next year.
I was given to understand that Bishop has said no palms until quarantine is lifted. Correct?
Correct. As of this morning, we are changing our plans. The palms will be blessed on Palm Sunday, dried, and distributed after the quarantine ends.
Anne, I wanted to make sure you saw that Bishop Konderla put out a directive not allowing churches to distribute palms. We just found out about it this morning. Sorry about that.
Can you explain how confessions will work?
Confessions take place in the church. Penitents may go to confession behind a screen or face to face. Chairs are placed six feet apart to maintain social distancing.
