Construction Preparation: Gas line and meter relocated

 

Contractors from the City of Tulsa are moving a gas line and meter in anticipation of the expansion of the west entrance to the church.

The parish building project includes a renovation of the vestibule and an enlargement of the covered area over the west entrance. The entrance is the most used entry to the church despite a couple of elevation changes. The goal is to fill in and pave the area between the stairs so that parishioners in wheelchairs can roll directly from the parking lot into the vestibule.

The workers are rerouting a gas line running below the existing sidewalk between the stairs and a gas meter in a nearby tree bed.
