The report is back. The news is good.

 

Matt Bendel, parish owner’s representative, received the NESHAP Inspection Report for Asbestos Containing Materials on the duplex. He reports that the only asbestos related materials found are located in the mastic for the sheet flooring and vinyl floor tiles.

Matt notes, “This will NOT require an additional abatement company to remove these materials prior to demolition. This can be removed by the demolition contractor.

“The Category I non-friable material is roll sheet flooring in south unit and vinyl floor tile and associated black mastic backing located in both units under carpet. These materials can stay in the building during demolition…. These materials can be disposed of as regular demolition building debris.” – NESHAP Report
