Baptism at the Church of St. Mary
Baptism for children under age 7:
Baptismal classes are held the first Tuesday in the months of February, April, June, August, October, and December. Classes meet at 7:00 PM in the MacAulay Room near the 49th Place entrace. Most couples find it more convenient to attend class before their baby is born. Please call the parish Office to register. Baptisms are nomally celebrated the first Sunday of the month at 1:30 PM.

Immersion in water symbolizes not only death and purification, but also regeneration and renewal. Thus the two principal effects are purification from sins and new birth in the Holy Spirit.
By Baptism
all sins are forgiven, original sin and all personal sins, as well as all punishment for sin.
In those who have been reborn nothing remains that would impede their entry into the Kingdom of God, neither Adam's sin, nor personal sin, nor the consequences of sin, the gravest of which is separation from God.

Baptismal Information Form needs to be filled out and returned to the parish office prior to the baptism.
