The Church of Saint Mary recognizes that catechesis is a lifelong formation process for all Christians. Therefore, adult catechesis is of primary importance. A variety of educational opportunities are offered for adults throughout the year. These opportunities are designed for enrichment in faith as adults grow in knowledge of God, Church, Scripture, Traditions and Christian understanding of our life experience. If you wish to learn more about a particular topic, please contact Arleen Stegge, Director of Adult Education, in the Office Annex.
If you or someone you know is interested in more information about the Catholic faith, perhaps Catholic Inquiry and Christian Initiation of Adults would be of assistance. Inquiry sessions take place at different times throughout the year.
Small Christian Communities are groups of 8 to 12 people who gather to help one another grow in faith. They do this by reflecting on the Sunday Scriptures as they relate to personal experience. Through mutual support, prayer, faith-sharing, learning and outreach, members of Small Christian Communities truly experience being Church for one another. Small Christian Communities are formed twice a year, in the Fall and then again before the Lenten season.
