Additional Education and Outreach Opportunities

Gabriel Project

This parish-based outreach ministry works with the Family Life Office to support mothers in crisis due to an unplanned pregnancy. Interested parishioners are trained to provide a listening ear and help mothers locate the resources needed within the community and the church to provide them with spiritual, material and emotional support during and after pregnancy. The purpose is to offer friendship, love and encouragement to women who otherwise might not choose life for their unborn babies.

Madonna House

Madonna House auxiliary members support this loving home for pregnant women and/or women with small children by providing resources (goods, services, finances) through programs such as the Autumn Harvest Arts and Crafts Show, Christmas card sales, Mother-Child Tea and Fashion Show and membership events.

Cathy Hill, 585-5186, chill@catholiccharitiestulsa.org

Madonna House Angels for girls ages 12-18 participate in age-appropriate activities to support Madonna House Auxiliary and its efforts to ensure compassionate care for the residents of this Catholic Charities residential program.

Respect Life Ministry

This committee helps parishioners understand, value and live out the Catholic vision of respect for life. Embracing a consistent life ethic, we seek to address the sanctity and dignity of human life from birth to natural death, especially issues surrounding abortion, contraception, euthanasia, armed conflict and capital punishment.

Youth Service at Camp Benedictine

Students from ninth grade through 12th grade graduates are given the opportunity to work four days as camp counselors at a camp for persons with developmental delays. The camp usually occurs during the last week of July. Watch the bulletin or Youth Ministry emails for the announcement to sign-up for this opportunity.
