Ministries - Administration

Bulk Mail Team

The Bulk Mail Team gets together when called upon by the parish secretary to label, stuff and prepare envelopes and mailings for the post office.

Children's Ministry Board

The Children’s Ministry Board assists the Director of Religious Education with planning and organizing faith formation program events, including Vacation Bible School and the annual catechists appreciation dinner.

Estate Planning Committee

The Estate Planning Committee is made up of parishioners with experience in financial and estate planning. The Committee presents educational seminars on financial and retirement planning, wills, trusts, budgeting, insurance and tax advantaged giving as well as Advanced Health Directives (living wills).

Finance Council

The Finance Council advises the pastor in overseeing the budgeting process and monitoring its progress throughout the year. Members are appointed by the pastor for a specified term.

Justice and Peace Committee

The Justice and Peace Committee strives to raise awareness of issues of moral concern, justice and peace, as they relate to our parish, our community, our state, our country and our world.

Newcomer Committee

The Newcomer Committee welcomes new members to help foster a more vibrant and involved faith community. This team is responsible for calling new members and hosting welcome and registration events throughout the year.

The Offertory Counters assist the parish Business Administrator by counting the collections taken at weekend Masses.

Office receptionists are needed to answer the phone and greet visitors at the Parish Office.

Parish Events/Receptions/Dinners Support

Adults and youth are needed to help put on events from set-up to clean-up. Depending on the need, parishioners could be asked to help coordinate, prepare or serve food, provide decorations, bake cookies, make phone calls, and/or greet at the check-in table. Events that could require the talents of parish volunteers include senior luncheons, retreats and seminars, and bigger special events calling for lots of help.

Parish Facilities Committee

The Parish Facilities Committee represents the parish community in an advisory capacity to the pastor, seeking to identify and address parish facilities needs to enhance the overall quality of parish life.

RockSolid Youth Team

Adults are needed to help with a variety of needs during RockSolid each Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Serving dinner, setup & cleanup, chaperones and activity leaders & planners are all integral to our RockSolid Faith Formation program.

Stewardship Council

The mission of St. Mary's Stewardship Council is "to inspire and motivate parishioners to transform the Church of St. Mary into a perpetual Stewardship Parish, living out the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. We will develop a structure to provide resources for stewardship opportunities by facilitating communication and collaboration among all ministries.” The Council is also responsible for the Annual Stewardship Renewal, listing of parish groups and service opportunities, and continuing education about stewardship as a way of life.

St. Mary Home & School

Home and School supports and promotes the goals of the School of Saint Mary. To achieve its objectives, this organization undertakes and promotes educational, social and spiritual projects. The group also sponsors several fundraising activities with proceeds benefiting the school.

St. Mary Preschool & School Volunteer Support

Parishioners are needed to share their gifts for the benefit of our student body by volunteering in the classroom or school office. Preschool volunteers assist the Director with age-appropriate enrichment activities for children ages 2-5, and secretarial support. VIRTUS training is required for all volunteers who work with children. This includes attending a VIRTUS workshop “Protecting God’s Children,” and completing a packet of information before being eligible to volunteer.

St. Mary School Advisory Council

The Advisory Council of the School of Saint Mary (School Board) serves as an advisory committee to the pastor and principal with regard to school issues. The committee meets monthly to discuss issues concerning the school, school finances and future growth and improvement.
