Gary Gamino
I am married to Michelle, and we have four children and four grandchildren. Six year old Jaymason is in kindergarten at St. Mary’s.
I am a native Oklahoman and originally from Oklahoma City. I attended Bishop McGuinness High School, the University of Notre Dame (undergraduate), and the University of Texas (graduate school). I currently work for Mathey Dearman in Tulsa as their CFO.
My faith has been nurtured through the grace of the Holy Spirit working through my parents and the priests I have known in my life. As a result, I have felt the call of the diaconate for several years, and was welcomed into the most recent formation class in the fall of 2008. It has been both challenging and thoroughly enjoyable, and I could not pursue this vocation without the gift of support from my wife and family.
If God’s will leads me to ordination, I look forward to serving God’s people in the Diocese of Tulsa as a deacon. Catechesis and pastoral care are two of my current interests. I would really be interested in bringing some locally produced Catholic programming to either radio or television here in Tulsa.
When not working or studying, I enjoy outdoor activities with my family, particularly golf and anything Jaymason likes to do (within reason!).
